Nick Povio, General Manager
With over two decades of experience in construction and design, Nicholas Povio brings an unmatched blend of technical expertise, creative vision, and strategic leadership to the commercial interiors industry. He began his career in architecture with a focus on interiors and ADA accessibility, building a foundation rooted in purpose-driven spaces that prioritize both function and inclusivity. His journey continued as a metal fabrications detailer and estimator, spending eight years mastering the intricacies of custom metal and glass enclosures and railing systems, sharpening his eye for detail and his skill in precision engineering. In 2014, Nicholas joined Clestra Hauserman, a company with a legacy dating back to 1913, known for pioneering demountable partition systems including those used in the construction of the Empire State Building. Quickly recognized for his talent and dedication, he was nominated for the company’s international managerial training program, where he collaborated with leaders across seven global divisions. This experience strengthened his cross-functional communication skills and deepened his knowledge of systems, installation standards, and global project delivery.
As the first Manager of Estimating and Design Services at Clestra USA, Nicholas broke down silos between departments, creating a streamlined workflow from client consultation to project closeout. In 2017, he became a certified trainer for Hauserman’s partition and pod systems, further expanding his leadership impact across the U.S. market. A year later, he was named General Manager of Clestra Hauserman USA, guiding the team through unprecedented challenges during the COVID-19 shutdowns and emerging with a stronger, more resilient business operation.
Throughout his career, Nicholas has contributed to the design and development of a wide range of innovative products—from power transmission safety devices to pod systems and partition technologies. His rare ability to bridge design, engineering, and leadership has made him a trusted figure in modern workspace solutions, where every detail matters and every project tells a story of excellence.
